Established in 1872 in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham Cooke Brothers has over one hundred years experience manufacturing hinges. Founded by the sons of William Cooke, a Lancastrian in the cotton industry, the business concentrated on the manufacture of hinges, prospered and grew.
Over the years the firm relocated several times, until 1960 a large green field site was purchased as the base for a purpose built factory. Capacity has been increased as the business has grown and the Cooke Brothers site now occupies over 3 acres. With the recent acquisition of the adjoining properties, the company now has a further four acres available for future expansion.
